La evolución del sector hotelero en España. Un análisis con Power BI

[Resumen]: A lo largo de este trabajo se ha utilizado Power BI para desarrollar un análisis de la
información financiera de un sector clave para la economía española: el sector turístico.
En concreto, el análisis se ha centrado en los 500 hoteles con mayor facturación en
2019, año en el que España registró cifras récord en la llegada de turistas.
A partir de la información disponible en SABI desde 2010 a 2021 para la muestra
seleccionada, se lleva a cabo un estudio económico que pivota sobre dos variables: la
facturación y la rentabilidad. El análisis realizado permite presentar un adecuado
diagnóstico sobre las diferencias entre empresas en base a su dimensión, distribución
geográfica y tipo de turismo al que se enfocan.; [Abstract]: Throughout this report, Power BI has been used to develop an analysis of the financial
information of one the key sectors of the Spanish economy: tourism. To be more precise,
the analysis has focused on the top 500 hotels, according to their revenue figures in
2019, a year in which Spain registered record numbers regarding the arrival of tourists.
Starting from the information available in SABI from 2010 to 2021 for our selected
sample, an economic study has been developed centered on two variables: revenues
and profitability. The conducted analysis allows the presentation of an adequate
diagnostic concerning the differences between the companies based on their dimension,
geographic distribution and tourism type.
